Signal52 scans thousands of stocks every evening, identifies the strongest technical setups, and delivers institutional-grade analysis, all before the next market open. Read this straight through or jump to the section you need.

Chapter 01

What is Signal52?

Signal52 is an AI-powered stock screening and research platform. Every trading day after market close, the system collects live market data, runs 25+ proprietary technical signals across the full stock universe, layers in macro regime context, and uses AI to generate narratives, picks, and a full market briefing. By the time you log in each evening, everything is fresh, no stale data, no recycled analysis. The scanner finds the setups, the AI explains the story, and you decide what to do with it.

Chapter 02

How It Works

What happens every evening after market close.

1
Data Collection

Price, volume, news, and economic indicators gathered from the day's trading session.

2
Signal Computation

The Elite Engine calculates 25+ technical signals across the entire stock universe.

3
AI Analysis

AI researches current news, scores top candidates, and generates full narratives.

4
Published

Dashboard, picks, briefing, and insights all go live with the evening's fresh data.

Data updates around 4pm PST on trading days. Weekends and market holidays show the most recent trading day's data.

Chapter 03

The Dashboard

Your primary screening interface, where everything starts.

Score band cards

Four clickable cards filter the table instantly: Top Tier (10+), Priority (6–9), Watchlist (3–5), Noise. Click again or select Universe to see everything.

Signal filter dropdowns

Filter by specific DNA, Action, or Risk signals; multi-select supported. Combine signals to find stocks showing multiple confirmed patterns at once.

Sort & search

Reorder by Score, Price, Daily Change, or Ticker. The search box filters by ticker or company name instantly. Results paginate automatically.

Reading the table

Each row shows active signals as color-coded chips. Click any row to open the full analysis page.

DNA qualityAction timingRisk flags
The RocketShips lens

A toggleable momentum filter that narrows the table to stocks that have repeatedly closed at 52-week highs within the selected window (7–90 days). What it measures: how many times a stock closed at its 52-week high within the selected period. A high hit count means the stock is consistently leading the market.

A lens narrows the entire universe before anything else; it changes which stocks you see. A signal evaluates each stock within whatever universe is active, it scores them. Enable RocketShips first, then layer signal filters on top to find momentum leaders with technical confirmation, the intersection of strength and timing.

Chapter 04

Market Context

A great setup in the wrong environment is a different trade. Signal52 classifies two dimensions of market context every day: the regime (what the market is rewarding) and the volatility state (how much the market is moving). Check the context before acting on any setup.

Market regimes
Risk-OnThe market is rewarding growth, momentum, and higher-beta stocks. Your strongest signal combinations are most actionable here.
Risk-OffCapital is rotating toward safety. Be more selective than usual and weight risk signals heavily.
NeutralNo clear conviction in either direction. Higher bar, fewer trades.
CautionThe regime is in transition. Patience is the best strategy.
Volatility states
CompressingCoiling, a classic pre-breakout environment; breakout signals tend to be more reliable.
StableNormal conditions. Standard signal interpretation applies.
ExpandingWider intraday swings. Risk signals deserve elevated attention.
Strongest · Risk-On + Compressing

The best combination for acting on setups.

Selective · Neutral + Stable

No tailwind, no headwind, be pickier.

Max caution · Risk-Off + Expanding

A time to watch, not chase.

You can see today's regime and volatility state on the AI Insights page, and in the header of each Daily Briefing.

Chapter 05

The Daily Outputs

The dashboard ranks the universe; the picks are the highest-conviction selections; the briefing explains why they make sense today. All four work together.

Pick of the Day

The single stock the AI judges as the highest-conviction setup for the day. Selected through a multi-phase process: candidate sourcing, live news research, verification, and full narrative generation.

Includes: AI Confidence Score (0–100) · executive summary · investment thesis (3 bullets) · technical context & invalidation · AI scorecard (technical, catalyst, regime fit, risk) · setup profile (type + risk) · runner-ups · track record.

Policy PickPolicy desk

A policy-driven selection grounded in federal procurement, regulatory action, and government spending data. Tracks themes including Defense, Border, Energy, and Infrastructure.

Includes: Winner Score (0–100) · policy edge · federal evidence (agency, program, contract value, source) · investment thesis (3 bullets) · policy context & technical setup · status badges (verified, freshness, catalyst type) · competitive field · track record at 7d / 30d / 60d.

Daily Briefing

Signal52's most comprehensive output: a long-form, data-anchored market narrative that ties together regime context, economic data, headlines, signal cohorts, and the day's picks into one unified read. Written in an institutional voice but designed to be accessible to any investor.

  • In-depth market narrative covering every angle
  • What Changed: key shifts from the prior session
  • Key Takeaways: concise, action-oriented bullets
  • Scenario Analysis: base, bull, and bear cases
  • What Would Prove This Wrong: conditions that break the thesis
  • 24-72h Watchlist: near-term setups to keep on your radar
  • Editorial cartoon: a daily visual metaphor for the market mood
How to read it
Start with Key Takeaways

The sidebar bullets give you the core market posture in under 30 seconds.

Read the Scenario Analysis

Bull, bear, and base cases map out the conditional paths the market could take.

Check Falsification Conditions

Specific conditions that would invalidate the day's thesis, monitor these before entering or holding positions.

AI Insights

Live macro data, today's top-scored leaders, and momentum names, all on one page.

Market Regime Panel

Today's regime (Risk On, Risk Off, Neutral, or Caution), the primary driver, and a short narrative. Your posture anchor before looking at anything else.

Rates & Macro Stats

Four live data chips: VIX, 10Y-2Y spread, credit spread, and the Fed Funds rate with 1-day changes. These drive the regime classification.

Intelligence Feed

The day's top market-moving headlines, tagged by type: Earnings, Macro, Policy, Sector, Technical.

AI Insight Leaders

The highest-scored stocks from today's scan, each with catalyst tag, summary, why-now context, and active signal chips.

Momentum RocketShips

Top stocks from the 30-day RocketShips lens; names that have persistently closed at 52-week highs.

Insight Card Detail

Why Now, Key Tension, Invalidation, Watch items, and upcoming events. AI-generated; not every field appears for every stock.

Dashboard vs Picks vs Briefing

The dashboard ranks the full universe, it's where you scan for setups. The picks are the single highest-conviction selections with deep AI research behind each one. The daily briefing provides the macro narrative that explains why those setups and picks make sense in today's environment. All three are designed to work together.

Chapter 06

Stock Research Pages

Every stock Signal52 follows has a dedicated research page with 30 days of history.

Every stock that appears in the Signal52 universe has its own dedicated research page. You can reach it by clicking any stock on the dashboard, from a pick page, or from an insight card. It's the single place to see the full picture for a name you're tracking.

What you'll find
  • Current price, daily change, and AI sentiment
  • All active signals and the current Elite Engine score
  • Catalyst tag and AI narrative summary
  • Pick of the Day or Policy Pick badges if recently featured
  • Full 30-day analysis timeline, day by day
  • 30-day sentiment distribution (bullish / neutral / bearish split)
What to look for

A stock that shows consistent bullish sentiment with a rising score across the 30-day timeline tells a different story than a one-day spike. Use the timeline to gauge conviction over time, not just the current snapshot.

How to get there
1
Find a stock on the dashboard
Spot a name that catches your eye in the scanner table.
2
Click the row
Opens the daily snapshot view for that stock on this specific date.
3
View the full research page
Follow the link to see the complete history, signals, and AI analysis.
4
Review the timeline
Scroll through 30 days of signal history and sentiment to build conviction.
Chapter 07

Scoring System

How to interpret Elite Engine scores on the dashboard.

10+Top TierStrongest setups with multiple confirming signals
6-9PriorityHigh-quality setups worth close attention
3-5WatchlistDeveloping; may need more confirmation
0-2NoiseInsufficient signal confluence

Each active signal adds weighted points based on its category and historical edge. DNA signals reward foundational quality, Action signals reward timing, and Risk signals flag potential problems. A strong score with no risk flags is a cleaner setup than the same score with active warnings. See every signal definition in the Signal Library →

Chapter 08

Pro Tips

Start with Top Tier. More signal confluence means less guesswork and higher-probability setups.
Check the regime first. Risk-Off or Caution changes what's actionable, even for top-tier scores.
Don't ignore risk chips. A high score with active risk signals is a fundamentally different situation.
Use the briefing for context. Read the scenario analysis before making decisions.
Follow the track record. Both pick pages show performance at 7, 30, and 60 days, consistency matters more than any single day.
