What is Signal52?
Signal52 is an AI-powered stock screening and research platform. Every trading day after market close, our system collects live market data, runs 25+ proprietary technical signals across the full stock universe, layers in macro regime context, and uses Gemini AI to generate narratives, picks, and a full market briefing. By the time you log in each evening, everything is fresh. No stale data, no recycled analysis. Think of it as your nightly edge: the scanner finds the setups, the AI explains the story, and you decide what to do with it.
How It Works
What happens every evening after market close
Price, volume, news, and economic indicators are gathered from the day's trading session.
The Elite Engine calculates 25+ technical signals across the entire stock universe.
Gemini AI researches current news, scores top candidates, and generates full narratives.
Dashboard, picks, briefing, and insights all go live with the evening's fresh data.
Data updates around 4pm PST on trading days. Weekends and market holidays show the most recent trading day's data.
The Dashboard
Your primary screening interface, where everything starts
Four clickable cards across the top filter the table instantly: Top Tier (10+), Priority (6-9), Watchlist (3-5), and Noise. Click any card to focus the scanner on that group. Click again or select Universe to see everything.
Three dropdowns let you filter by specific DNA, Action, or Risk signals. Multi-select is supported. Combine signals to find stocks showing multiple confirmed patterns at the same time.
Use the sort dropdown to reorder by Score, Price, Daily Change, or Ticker. The search box filters by ticker or company name instantly. Results paginate automatically.
Each row shows the stock's active signals as color-coded chips. Green = DNA (foundational quality), Blue = Action (entry timing), Red = Risk (warning flags). Click any row to open the full stock analysis page.
RocketShips Lens
RocketShips is a special momentum filter you can toggle from the top action cards. When active, the table narrows to only stocks that have repeatedly closed at 52-week highs within the selected timeframe.
How many times a stock closed at its 52-week high within the selected period: 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days. A high hit count means the stock is consistently leading the market.
A lens narrows the entire universe before anything else. A signal evaluates each stock within whatever universe is active. RocketShips is a lens. It changes which stocks you see, not how they're scored.
Enable RocketShips first, then layer on DNA or Action signal filters. This is how you find momentum leaders with specific technical confirmation, the intersection of strength and timing.
Market Context
The macro backdrop that shapes how to interpret every signal and score
A great setup in the wrong environment is a different trade. Signal52 classifies two dimensions of market context every day: the regime (what the market is rewarding) and the volatility state (how much the market is moving). Together, they form the backdrop against which every score, signal, and pick should be read. Check the context before acting on any setup.
The market is rewarding growth, momentum, and higher-beta stocks. This is when high-conviction setups carry the most weight. Your strongest signal combinations are most actionable here.
Capital is rotating toward safety: bonds, defensive sectors, cash. Even well-scored setups can underperform. Be more selective than usual, and pay extra attention to risk signals.
No clear conviction in either direction. Individual stock setups matter more than market posture. Look for stronger signal confluence before committing. Higher bar, fewer trades.
The regime is in transition. Expect wider swings, lower signal reliability, and more noise. Patience is the best strategy. Wait for the regime to settle before sizing into new positions.
Volatility is coiling, a classic pre-breakout environment. Breakout and momentum signals tend to be more reliable here. Watch for the release.
Normal conditions. Standard signal interpretation applies. This is the baseline state where historical signal performance is most consistent.
Rising volatility means wider intraday swings. Risk signals deserve elevated attention. Size positions carefully and expect more noise in the data.
The best combination for acting on setups. The market is rewarding growth and volatility is coiling for a breakout. High-confluence scores are at their most actionable.
No tailwind, but no headwind either. Stock-specific setups with the highest signal confluence still work. Just be pickier about what earns your attention.
The toughest environment for long setups. Even top-tier scores carry elevated risk. Defense and patience are the priority. This is a time to watch, not chase.
You can see today's regime and volatility state on the AI Insights page, and in the header of each Daily Briefing.
Daily Briefing
Institutional-grade market analysis, published fresh every evening
The Daily Briefing is Signal52's most comprehensive output: a long-form, data-anchored market narrative that ties together regime context, economic data, headlines, signal cohorts, and the day's picks into one unified read. It's written in an institutional voice but designed to be accessible to any investor who wants to understand what happened today and what to watch for tomorrow.
The sidebar bullets give you the core market posture in under 30 seconds. Use these to decide how deep you want to go today.
Bull, bear, and base cases map out the conditional paths the market could take. Identify which triggers matter most to your positions before acting.
The dark sidebar card lists specific conditions that would invalidate the day's thesis. Monitor these before entering or holding positions.
AI Insights
Live macro data, today's top-scored leaders, and momentum names, all on one page
The large gradient card at the top shows today's regime (Risk On, Risk Off, Neutral, or Caution) along with the primary driver and a short narrative. This is your posture anchor before looking at anything else.
Four live data chips show VIX, 10Y-2Y spread, credit spread, and the Fed Funds rate with 1-day changes. These are the economic indicators that drive the regime classification.
The top market-moving headlines from the day, tagged by type: Earnings, Macro, Policy, Sector, Technical. This is the news layer that informed today's AI analysis.
The highest-scored stocks from today's scan, each shown as a card with catalyst tag, summary narrative, why-now context, and active signal chips. Click any card to open the stock's full research page.
The top stocks from the 30-day RocketShips lens, names that have persistently closed at 52-week highs. Separate from the score leaders, these highlight sustained momentum leadership.
Each stock card may show: Why Now, Key Tension, Invalidation, Watch items, and upcoming events. These are AI-generated from the day's news and signal context. Not every field appears for every stock.
The Picks
Two curated selections published every trading day, each with full AI-powered research
The single stock the AI judges as the highest-conviction setup for the day. Selected through a multi-phase process: candidate sourcing, live news research, verification, and full narrative generation.
A policy-driven selection grounded in federal procurement, regulatory action, and government spending data. Tracks themes including Defense, Border, Energy, and Infrastructure.
The dashboard ranks the full universe. It's where you scan for setups. The picks are the single highest-conviction selections with deep AI research behind each one. The daily briefing provides the macro narrative that explains why those setups and picks make sense in today's environment. All three are designed to work together.
Stock Research Pages
Every stock Signal52 follows has a dedicated research page with 30 days of history
Every stock that appears in the Signal52 universe has its own dedicated research page. You can reach it by clicking any stock on the dashboard, from a pick page, or from an insight card. It's the single place to see the full picture for a name you're tracking.
A stock that shows consistent bullish sentiment with a rising score across the 30-day timeline tells a different story than a one-day spike. Use the timeline to gauge conviction over time, not just the current snapshot.
Scoring System
How to interpret Elite Engine scores on the dashboard
Strongest setups with multiple confirming signals
High-quality setups worth close attention
Developing, may need more confirmation
Insufficient signal confluence
Each active signal adds weighted points based on its category and historical edge. DNA signals reward foundational quality, Action signals reward timing, and Risk signals flag potential problems. A strong score with no risk flags is a cleaner setup than the same score with active warnings. The final score reflects total setup quality in the context of that day's market regime.

Focus on 10+ scores first. More signal confluence means less guesswork and higher-probability setups.
Always read the market context before acting. Risk-Off or Caution changes what's actionable, even for top-tier scores.
Red chips are warnings. A high score with active risk signals is a fundamentally different situation than a clean setup at the same score.
The daily briefing explains the "why" behind today's signals. Read the scenario analysis before making decisions.
Both pick pages show historical performance at 7, 30, and 60 days. Let the record build over time. Consistency matters more than any single pick.
