Risk SignalWarning flag

The Distribution Signal

Price up but volume heavy. Institutions may be selling into strength.

What it detects

Distribution counts the footprint of institutional selling: days where price falls on heavier volume than the day before. Three or more such days inside the last ten sessions fires the flag. Someone large is consistently using strength and liquidity to exit.

How Signal52 computes it

The pipeline marks a session as a distribution day when the close is lower and volume is higher than the prior session, then counts them over a rolling 10-day window. The flag fires at a count of three or more.

How to read it

One distribution day means nothing; clusters are the tell. The flag matters most on stocks that still look fine on price, because distribution at highs is how tops get built before the chart shows it. On a high-scoring name, an active Distribution flag is a reason to demand extra confirmation from any Action trigger you act on.

Risk Signals in the Elite Score: Risk signals carry no positive weight. They are warning flags that change how a score should be read. A score of 10+ with no risk flags is a fundamentally different setup than the same score with active warnings.
