What it detects
Quiet Accumulation catches stealth buying: an up day whose volume exceeds the volume of every down day in the previous ten sessions. Someone is absorbing shares with more urgency than any recent seller showed.
How Signal52 computes it
The signal requires today to close higher than yesterday, today’s volume to exceed the largest down-day volume of the trailing 10 sessions, and price not to be over-extended above its 50-day average. The extension cap keeps it from firing on climactic, late-stage buying.
How to read it
This trigger descends from the pocket-pivot concept. It is most useful when it appears inside a quiet base or near a moving average, where it suggests accumulation before an obvious breakout, and several inside one base are stronger evidence than one. On an extended chart the same volume pattern is more likely chasing than accumulation, and the formula excludes that case on purpose.
